Our story

Seven years of pastry, brought home to Lymm

Lara Patisserie is owned and run by pastry chef Lara Fradgley, who has always been happiest with her hands in dough. Seven years of college qualifications, restaurant, hotel and bakery kitchens — including training under a French patisserie chef — led to opening her own place in March 2026.

Lymm is home, so it was the obvious place to build something. On opening day the queue ran down the street, and the bakery has sold out more than once since. Lara is still the sole baker: prep starts on Tuesday, and Thursday to Saturday she's in for 5am so everything on the counter is made that morning.

Small batches, quality ingredients and a lot of attention to detail. As Lara puts it: "I want all my customers to feel special."

Kind words

What people are saying

We couldn't resist trying the almond croissant, which I can safely say is one of the best I've ever eaten.
Warrington Guardian · We tried Lara Patisserie, April 2026
The focaccia was oily and fluffy, and the fillings were packed full of flavour. A hearty portion, and the apple and fennel sausage roll had beautifully light pastry.
